Resumen: Desde la década de 1990, Luis Rocca ha recolectado material bibliográfico sobre los japoneses deportados desde el Perú a Estados Unidos durante la Segunda Guerra Mundial. Gracias a dicho material y a los testimonios de los sobrevivientes y sus familiares recogidos mediante entrevistas hechas por el autor, ha sido posible reconstruir estos hechos, que constituyen una parte ineludible y fundamental de la sociedad japonesa, no solo en el Perú y en los Estados Unidos, sino en toda América y el Caribe. |
