Resumen: Este volumen, al ofrecer la mayor parte de los numerosos discursos que Riva Agüero pronunció, nos brinda una elocuente visión del papel directivo que le cupo desempeñar en la sociedad, en la política y en la vida intelectual peruana. Fue, en efecto, un papel directivo muy notable, al punto de que hoy en día no hay en el Perú un personaje de análoga magnitud, que combine brillantez intelectual, vasta cultura, vigencia política y prestigio social. Esto se advierte asimismo leyendo los discursos que se pronunciaron en la ceremonia de su sepelio, y que también se incluyen en el presente volumen. -- Presentación. |
