El Qhapaq Ñan o Sistema Vial Andino es un espacio arquitectónico especial, gracias al cual se enlaza temporal y espacialmente la gran diversidad histórica, cultural, humana y geográfica de nuestro territorio. Este gran sistema de red de caminos, que funcionó desde época incaica, se ha convertido en la vía de comunicación más importante de territorio andino por las diversas dinámicas de intercambio que existieron y existen a lo largo de su trayecto. En su recorrido se encuentra una serie de construcciones incaicas entre las que encontramos centros administrativos y estructuras asociadas desde las cuales se controlaba y gestionaban los recursos de la zona, así como variados puentes, escaleras y tipologías de camino sobre el terreno trazado. El gran conocimiento que los incas tuvieron sobre el medio ambiente se nota en la gran habilidad de adaptación constructiva que tuvieron a lo largo de todo el territorio del Tawantinsuyu. |
